United Nations Country Results Report for 2020

The UN in Saudi Arabia is pleased to present the 2020 Results Report for the United Nations Common Country Strategic Framework (UNCCSF). The UNCCSF 2017-2021, developed by the United Nations Country Team in consultation with the Saudi Government. The framework identifies four priority areas for its support based on a comprehensive Common Country Analysis (CCA) and national demand.

The four priority areas are:

1. Knowledge-based equitable and sustainable economic development, underpinned by technology, innovation, and improved infrastructure
2. Effective and equitable delivery of social services and education for improved quality of life
3. An equitable, accountable, effective, and efficient public sector
4. The sustainable management, use and preservation of natural and cultural resources.

The report presents the collective actions of all 21 UN entities working in Saudi Arabia to deliver the results set out in the Country Framework. 

Results are also due to the collaboration among UN, Saudi Government and partners, and the alignment of these efforts in support of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development 

This year, among other results areas, the report also demonstrates the work UN agencies have undertaken in support of the national response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
